Recycle Your Christmas Tree

Camrose City Council is pleased to announce the 2009 Christmas Tree Recycling Program.

2009 Business Licenses

2009 Business Licenses are due and payable on or before February 28, 2009. Invoices will be mailed out.

2009 Dog Licenses

All dogs, six months of age and older, must be licensed prior to January 31, 2009. The license fee for altered dogs (spayed or neutered) is $20 and for unaltered dogs is $40.00. License fees increase after January 31, 2009. Reminder notices will not be mailed out.

2009 Utility Rate Increase

On December 1st, 2008, City Council approved By-Law 2605/08 and 2606/08, affecting the City of Camrose Water and Sanitary Sewer rates, effective January 1st, 2009. Follow the link for more details.

2010 Olympic Torch Relay - Camrose Selected as a Celebration Community

Residents of Camrose and Area anxious to catch the Olympic Spirit will have the opportunity to see the Olympic Flame in person in mid January 2010 as it passes through on its way towards the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

Snow Dump Site

The City of Camrose has designated a snow dumpsite to be used by private snow removal contractors and citizens of the City of Camrose. Follow the link for details.

East Gateway Area Structure Plan

An Area Structure Plan (ASP) for the East Gateway plan area is being developed by Focus Corporation on behalf of the City of Camrose. The goal of this plan is to guide future development and to create policies to foster business, industrial and commercial growth.

Waterslide Closed

The waterslide at the Aquatic Centre is closed. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Province Provides $3.5 Million for New Performing Arts Centre at Augustana Campus

The Government of Alberta is committing $3.5 million to build a new performing arts centre for the Camrose region. Funding is pledged under the Major Communities Facilities Program.
Funding has also been committed by the City of Camrose, Camrose County and the University of Alberta, Augustana Campus.

The City of Camrose has prepared this pandemic information site for the citizens of Camrose, to provide you with a basic understanding of a Pandemic Influenza emergency situation and how to fundamentally prepare for it. Currently the City of Camrose is preparing for this type of an emergency and is coordinating with all other agencies in attempt to reduce the impact on our community. Conserve Water Today

Efforts towards reducing the amount of water you use can make a big difference for (a) the watershed, (b) your utility bill and (c) extend the use of the Water Treatment Plant. You can significantly reduce your water consumption by implementing some of the following conservation tips. We are asking for your co-operation to reduce the amount of water you use. It will help us maintain service, be better for the watershed, and save your money.
